We are very pleased to introduce Canada’s new ambassador to Croatia, Daniel Maksymiuk, arrived in Zagreb in October. Below please find Ambassador Maksymiuk’s message.

Thank you for the invitation to extend greetings to the Canadian Croatian Business Network.

I feel fortunate to have been appointed as Canada’s Ambassador to Croatia. Croatia is an important friend, a strong ally, and a growing trade and investment partner for Canada.  Croatia is also the homeland for many thousands of Canadians, whose love for both countries gives a strong impetus to the relationship.  The Embassy is working continuously to support, sustain and deepen those ties, and help turn the unique opportunities on both sides into ongoing success stories.  My goal, together with the Government of Croatia and our partners in business and civil society, is to build cooperation and advance the prosperity and security of both countries.

I consider the CCBN to be a key partner in advancing commercial ties with Croatia.  I deeply value the work that you do to bring together Canadian business leaders in Croatia and facilitate the establishment of new business links between the two countries.  I look forward to working closely with you to build on your successes to date, support your current priorities, and unlock the potential for expanded trade and investment between Canada and Croatia.
