Excellent Canada Day BBQ

Another successful edition of the Canada Day Barbeque was held on 1 July at the Zagrebačka Pivovara. The turnout was very good, and a special surprise was prepared for all the guests: the Holy Heart of Mary Alumni Choir from Newfoundland who sang the Croatian national anthem Lijepa Naša, thanks to CCBN member Ivana Drčec from Zeroworx who did an excellent job teaching them!
An excellent raffle was organised and included a grand prize of a return air ticket Zagreb – Toronto, courtesy of Air Transat. The raffle proceeds of HRK 2870 were donated to the Terry Fox Run. We would also like to thank our sponsors: Hotel Sheraton, Air Transat and Zagrebačka Pivovara.
